Kaurits starts removing the residual pollution of Kroodi Creek

Kaurits OÜ and the Finnish company Savaterra OY signed an agreement for the construction works of the neutralization of residual pollution at Kroodi Creek. Approximately 75,000 m3of heavy metal contaminated soil (As, Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd) and 47,000 m3of petroleum products contaminated mud will be excavated from the Kroodi Creek area. Savaterra OY will clean the contaminated soil by using thermal treatment.
Work commence in early 2018. The completion term is in October 2021.
